Hey guys!
Sorry it's been so long! Finding time for things like this is just not at the tip top of the priority list right now =) I am just loving my job as Housewife and Mommy so very much! Every day with her is something new! Sure we have our rough days, but that doesn't even seem to matter! How can we complain when we prayed and asked the Lord for a child and He answered that prayer so quickly, not everyone is so fortunate! I was reminded the other day while looking at some pictures on Facebook how thankful I am that the Lord sent me my wonderful, sweet, loving husband to take care of us! He is such a hard worker and wonderful provider, but more than that he is such a wonderful friend and son! I have learned so much from having him in my life the last 8 years! I am so fortunate to be married to my best friend, who loves me and comes home to me every night. Who reads his Bible with me, prays with me and Bekah, prays for us, and best of all loves the Lord with all of his heart and wants to serve Him all of his life!!! The Lord has been so good to us, we are not the least bit worthy of His goodness, but we are thankful! I am so thankful that my husband is saved! Praise the Lord!!! Things could have been so very different in our lives, but when the Lord saved us, He also gave us the desires of our heart and that was eachother!!! Pray for us as we try to serve Him with everything we are and everything we have! Pray for us as well as we enter the stage with Bekah of learning the meaning of the word "no"! We do not want to be the type of parents who yell at her all of the time, so we have chosen to say "no" in our regular tone, with a little bit of a scolding sound, and if needed hold her hand down or maybe even pop her cute little leg. No need to tear her down with screaming and we don't want her to be obedient out of fear either because that would not show any change in her heart, so just pray for us. It is so much easier to tell someone elses child no, and a whole different story with your own. I will try to blog more often in the coming holiday season! It is almost here, our favorite time of year. Snuggly weather, "White Christmas" sugar cookies, hot chocolate, Bing Crosby's Christmas album, "It's a Wonderful Life", buying something special for that someone special, lots of fun with family, and our first Christmas as parents! Can't wait to see how she reacts to presents! Love you all, and if you are family, can't wait to see you at cabins 2010!!!!!
